Why should I be a Licenced Practitioner?

Under the revised Kingston & St. Andrew Public Health Regulations 2004  Barbers, Barbershop, Hairdressers, Beauty Therapist, Cosmetologist and Beauty Salon that all persons and establishment in Kingston & St. Andrew are required to be licenced by KSAC. 
What document do I need to become a licenced practitioner or to licence my business; Barber, Hairdresser, Cosmetologist, Beauty Therapist, Massage Therapist?

How can I report individuals who are destitute for admission into the Infirmary?

 Persons who are destitute and need institutional care must contact the Poor Relief Office and speak with a Poor Relief Officer. That officer will carry out further investigations to see it the need exist.  The officer will then contact the Matron at the Infirmary to see if space is available at the institution and if that is so, that officer will recommend that the person for admission to the Infirmary.

Can individuals who are in need of care be reported to the Parish Council for admission to the Infirmary?

The Poor Relief Department offers a wide range of services to Indoor and Outdoor Poor, through the knowledge and experience of its Poor Relief Officers. A report may be made to the Poor Relief Department, who will investigate the need. A Poor Relief Officer will then make a recommendation to the Matron of the Infirmary who will act based on the resources available.
