The Physical Planning and Environment Committee is spearheaded by the Director of Planning. This Department is responsible for addressing issues relating to:
- Processing and Approval of Building permits
- Alterations to buildings
- Subdivision Applications
- Change of use applications
- Regulate the erection of Billboards and Advertisement signs
- Street light as it relates to subdivisions
- The Department is also responsible for Preparation of Development Plans and Enforcement under the Town & Country Planning Act.
- The preparation of Corporate and Operational Plans
- Provding technical advice along with the Roads and Works deparrtment
